Emma Fox, MPH, DSP, CDP, is the visionary founder and Director of Foxglove Comfort Care, LLC, a non-medical home care service that embodies the principles of dignity and person-centered care. With a rich background in public health, disability services, and quality improvement spanning over 7 years, Emma brings a unique perspective shaped by a lifetime of caregiving for her younger brother with disabilities. Her early experiences as a family caregiver instilled in her a deep understanding of the complexities and compassion required to support individuals with diverse needs, leading her to navigate through various care systems and advocate for more humane and accessible care practices.

Armed with a Master of Public Health in Maternal and Child Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a B.S. in Neurobiology from the University of Cincinnati, Emma has contributed significantly to the field through roles in public health research, technical assistance, and healthcare provider training. Her tenure at the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD) saw her support national programs and champion disability inclusion in healthcare education, showcasing her commitment to reducing inequities and amplifying the voices of marginalized communities.

Transitioning to The Health Collaborative as a Senior Specialist in Clinical Initiatives & Quality Improvement, Emma continued her mission of building sustainable solutions and fostering cross-sector collaborations to enhance care delivery. Drawing from her extensive experience and passion for person-centered support, Emma embarked on a journey as an independent DSP in 2019, providing personalized in-home care, case management, and end-of-life services. This hands-on experience laid the foundation for Foxglove Comfort Care, a testament to Emma’s belief in the transformative power of compassionate and flexible home care models.

As a staunch advocate for disability justice and reproductive rights, Emma’s commitment to inclusivity and community-centered care shines through in her work. Holding a certification as a Dementia Practitioner, Emma is dedicated to creating a care company that embraces diversity, fosters belonging, and celebrates individuals across all walks of life.
